All of a sudden, I keep thinking about money this month. I keep checking my balance at ATMs and peeking into my wallet, thinking that I might automatically become richer from insurance returns or my Mum secretly slipping extra allowances in.
I already bought 2 boxes of the new Avengers set this month. It was a bad, bad idea; I felt like I just tossed $200 into the toilet and flushed it down just for a cheap thrill. (That money could've been used to finance my other endeavours in the paragraphs to come.) It left me in a very, very foul mood during the weekend. In the end, I got my Avengers half play-sets from buying singles, which was what I should've done in the first place. I would be lying if I said I enjoyed playing my new Avengers deck since I went through so such unnecessary trouble just to make it.
My Raw Deal hobby has also started taking off and I ended up converting from its (to put in VS terms) 'Modern Age' format and going into 'Golden Age'. That means spending more money again. And yes, there are those Title Belts that I thought I would never spend on (reminds me of the time when I thought I would never buy Savage Beatdowns). Raw Deal is possibly one of the most under-rated card games due to the fact that it is not backed by a reputable company. (I have been meaning to blog about the game, but haven't found the time yet.)
Lastly, there is my NDS. I used to complain about its slow start and miserable selection of games, but beginning this month, all those cool games that were previously delayed are finally coming out. I am so broke.
I attended another meeting for my job on Monday. The CO laid out his plans and goals for the company and expects it all to be done by August 2006. At least I finally got a good picture of what I was in for. I was working as part of the management of a jewellery company that uses MLM (Multi Level Marketing; there's that word again) to sell its stuff. The goods haven't arrived yet, so for the moment, I guess I am still free for the moment (I only need to go when the CO calls for a meeting). Gee, it's like having a job, but I am not being paid yet. Looks like I won't be looking forward to any pay days any time soon. Alas, money makes the world go round.
