First September Blog

Wee, my first blog entry for September. I have been a little late since I have not been doing anything interesting of late.

Everyday, I wake up and alternate between playing my NDS and surfing the net. And yes, I have fallen sick again. It happens every time I get a new game and play it industriously throughout the night. The other time, I was playing the music game, Ouendan, and got so frustrated at the last song that I retried it till 5 am to beat it. This time, it is Advance Wars DS. It's a nice strategy game. I was quite surprised to find that Internet lingo has invaded our consoles; one of the characters' win quotes include one-liners like "Owned" and hipster slang like "word" and "rawk". Although I dislike Internet speak, I do find it entertaining when a video game character says it. It's kinda cute.

Whatever happened to my 'job'? The boss has gone overseas on a business trip so I am stuck with nothing to do. It took me a while to realize that I was not going to get a fixed salary since the job was one of those 'be your own boss, keep what you earn' kinda thing. Well, I haven't really done anything yet, I am getting zero income. I asked my Mum if I could back out and go find a 'normal' job, but she told me to give the job a chance and see if I like it after the CO returns from his trip. In the meantime, she re-assures me not to worry so much. I really should remind her that I am not getting any younger.

I will try to blog more this month to make up for August's lack of activity.
